Supercell / Brawl Stars eSports

Esports Engine brought us onboard as design partner to refresh the visual identity for Brawl Stars eSports. Basing everything around a central concept of "high energy", we evolved their patchwork old comicbook-stlye graphics into a coherent system fusing elements of comicbook, cartoon and videogame aesthetics to complement the bombastic nature of the game. A key consideration was that much of the audience watched on mobile so designs had to work on a small screen. We created a full suite of static and motion elements for broadcast, web, social and print use and as part of the project we also created the broadcast pack and event/LED graphics package for the 2022 World Finals, held at Disneyland Paris. These graphics were adapted and reused for the 2023 & 2024 World Finals.
